This Privacy Notice explains how FoxFish LLC ("we", "us", "our"), operator of the FoxFish service (the "Service"), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use FoxFish.
1. Who we are
The Service is provided by FoxFish LLC, acting as the data controller for personal data processed in connection with teacher accounts and use of the Service.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, hashed password or OAuth identifier.
- Profile data: display name and preferences you provide.
- Content data: materials, classes, quizzes, flashcards, and other content you create.
- Student play data: a first name typed by the student on the device (stored locally in the browser) and the student's quiz / flashcard responses.
- Usage data: log data, device identifiers, IP address, and interaction telemetry used to operate and secure the Service.
- Support data: any messages or files you send to us.
3. Why we use your data
- To create and operate your account (contract performance).
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service (legitimate interests).
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the Service secure (legitimate interests).
- To respond to your support requests (contract performance).
- To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with:
- Stripe, Inc. — our payment processor. Stripe handles payments, subscription management, and invoicing on our behalf.
- Service providers (subprocessors) — hosting, database, AI model, email delivery, and analytics providers that process data on our instructions.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose data.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Account and content data are kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised on request, subject to legal retention requirements.
6. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside your country of residence, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
7. Your rights
